On Friday I came home and really fancied baking something. I don’t bake very often as I have the tendency to eat too much of what I bake. I took some time exploring the WeightWatchers website for recipe ideas. I came across a recipe for biscotti and decided to go with it as I quite like it and it had good portion sizes.
The recipe required:
- 150 White Flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 40g Margerine
- 110g Caster Sugar
- 50g Hazelnuts
- 2 Teaspoons of Instant Coffee dissolved in 1 Tablespoon hot water
- 1 Egg White
You start by combing the flour, baking powder and margarine to make breadcrumbs. Then add the hazelnuts and sugar.
The add the coffee and egg white to combine into a sticky dough.
Allow to cool, or if you like it hot enjoy straight from the oven.
