Yesterday I took part in the local Santa Run.
I got to dress up as Santa and run 5 km for charity.
It was a different route from the local Parkrun that is held at the same place every week. It was nice as it was one lap and it went around the whole park, including the lake. I haven’t gotten into the practice of taking photos while running – something I would like to do.
But I took quite a few at the start. Lots and lots of Santas and reindeer.
Doing a zumba warm up.
We then headed off around the park. I ended up taking the beard off, but was grateful for the hat and jacket as it was a very cold morning. Beautiful with the sun and frost.
My aim as always, was to run the whole way and I did 🙂
The course wasn’t quite 5km so I did beat my Parkrun time.
We all got a Santa medal at the end and it was really nice to do something a bit different.
One of my goals for next year is to take part in the Running Club events as the support and encouragement you get is amazing!
I then carried on the festivities by decorating the tree and putting up lots of other decorations and lights – love this time of year 🙂
