Adventures in Food… Baking Bagels

Yesterday was a day of baking and it was great 🙂

I’ve been wanting to make bagels for ages but have never found the time, so I have taken advantage of being off and made them for lunch with lots left for the rest of the week. I used the recipe my friend Ingrid used back in January. The original recipe can be found here.

I added sunflower seeds to my dough and then put pumpkin seeds on the top of half the bagels. They turned out great!

  1. Angie! They look fantastic! You obviously had no problem with a skin forming while they were rising like I did – that’s great! Do you think you’ll make them again?

    1. No problems like that. Just getting them into bagel shapes as the dough didn’t really want to be moulded. I would but I wouldn’t put seeds on top as they burnt a bit. I would like to try whole wheat and a raisin & cinnamon version 🙂
