Adventures in Coffee… Costa Cortado

It is the season of new hot drinks at pretty much every coffee shop I visit. I love Costa but I would love to find an independent coffee shop – maybe I’ll start my own.

Back to the Cortado – this is a small drink made with espresso and milk and it’s really nice.

Costa describe it as “sometimes you need a little lift” and I agree. This is perfect for when you don’t want a big milky coffee but also don’t want the intensity of an espresso or americano.

I loved the little glass cup it came in. Although I did have to wait for it to cool a bit before I could pick it up properly.

I also liked the mini latte art the barista did on my drink. I need to get a proper coffee machine for at home so I can learn to do this! My plan was to buy one as a house warming gift to myself, but I might have to bring that forward. It’s an essential skill I believe.

Overall a lovely little drink to enjoy this autumn.

Note: I bought this coffee myself and this is all my own opinion 🙂

  1. I love reading your new explorations in tea and coffee tastes! You should definitely add coffee/tea shop rating to your list of Autumn pursuits.
