I haven’t done a Things I’m Loving post for a while so I have decided to make this a regular feature and always post these on a Friday to end my work week on a positive.
This week I have been loving the Benefit Play Stick – concealer, foundation and powder all-in-one!
This week has been stressful with having two job interviews in a matter of days and I totally broke out in spots all over my face. It made me so thankful to have an excellent foundation!
I was introduced to this foundation last year when I stopped at the local Benefit counter to ask for help covering spots beyond using concealer. I was using a powder foundation before and it just wasn’t working. The lovely lady took me through a few products and showed me how to use the play stick and I loved it. It is so easy to use being in a stick form that it glides on the skin and then I use a foundation brush to blend it over my face. It also mean you can cover spots with concealer well and then use the foundation to even it out. It feels light on my skin and as it dries it turns to powder and stays put all day.
I do find it catches in a few places and I end up with lines under my eyes and on my forehead, but a bit of blending with tissue sorts that out. It is also fairly easy to take off. I use a make up remover then wash my face with a cleanser and by the time I tone there is very little, if any left on my face.
I use a few other Benefit make up products as they work well with my skin and they last. I find the foundation can last 3 months of pretty much daily use. I only change it before it runs out if I have had an illness that could be on my make-up, but my skin is pretty good most of the time.
I hate being 27 and getting breakouts worse than when I was a teenager sometimes, but I’m happy I have found products that work for me 🙂
