I haven’t bought an entire album in a long time. Music isn’t really my thing. Don’t get me wrong I love singing a long to songs on the radio, but I don’t listen to music as a way to spend time. It is background noise usually. I also don’t run with music very often, I quite like listening to my thoughts.
But once in a while a album comes along that I just know is going to fit with my current situation and Jason Mraz’s Love is a Four Letter Word is it right now 🙂
Here are some of my favourite lyrics!
From Living in the Moment:
“So I just let go of what I know I don’t know
And I know I’ll only do this by
Living in the moment
Living our life
Easy and breezy
With peace in my mind
With peace in my heart
Peace in my soul
Wherever I’m going, I’m already home
Living in the moment”
“Well You could give it all away, give it all and be unstoppable
All away, gonna make empty meaningful
You never really own it anyway, It’ll all fall in place if you just let go”
From Everything is Sound:
“It’s a song that I’ve forgotten often
It doesn’t make me wrong
Cause we all need the darkness, to see the light”
From 93 Million Miles:
“Every road is a slippery slope
There is always a hand that you can hold on to.
Looking deeper through the telescope
You can see that your home’s inside of you.”
From The World As I See It:
“The world as I see it, is a remarkable place
A beautiful house in a forest, of stars in outer space
From a birds eye view, I can see it has a well-rounded personality
From a birds eye view, I can see we are family”
It’s just one of those rare albums where pretty much every song resonates with me at the moment. I can listen to it when I’m down to getting me thinking positive. I can listen to it when I’m happy and sing at the top of my voice.
Its currently on repeat in my car 🙂
