Study Commitment

Last year I started studying again, but it went nowhere as I was too involved in going on my trip.

But now I have been back almost 2 months and haven’t been able to progress professionally in any way.

So I have decided to be proactive and take a Certificate in Business and Accounting to broaden my knowledge and experience out from purely energy and environment.

The certificate consists of 5 modules:

  • Fundamentals of Management Accounting
  • Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
  • Fundamentals of Business Mathematics
  • Fundamentals of Business Economics
  • Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Business Law

This course can take from as little as 6 months to up to a year to complete. I am currently aiming to complete it by the end of the year, with the last exam being in January.

This means I have 35 weeks or 7 weeks per module of hard work a head of me!

It is going to be a challenge as this is an area I know very little about and I have never studied while working full time before. I have set up a study schedule, with planned evenings of study and weekends. I am going to be flexible, but if I don’t have any other plans I will be studying.

I am going to make the most out of my current situation and use my time wisely as if I things change I may not have the freedom I have now to do these kind of things.

So this is another adventure for the rest of 2012 🙂
