Fitness Test

Today I had a fitness Test with the personal trainer who I worked with for Kilimanjaro and who introduced me to the Ki Fit.

I cannot afford to have regular personal training sessions so I have decided to monitor my progress by having fitness tests every 3 months.

During the test I did the following:

  • Blood Pressure
  • Weight
  • Body Fat
  • Measurements
  • Reach Test
  • Hamstring Flexibility
  • Push Ups
  • Abs
  • Leg Strength
  • Step Test
  • Walk Mile

Apart from putting on weight my fitness levels are around what I was when I started personal training in 2010. So although I am frustrated I have lost my fitness I know I have not gone completely back to the start of my journey. I now also have data to support my new journey to get back to my best or better fitness levels.

I now have a general fitness goal. I need to work on my aerobic and strength fitness in order to be able to improve on the test above. This means I can keep varying my exercise in order to not get bored.

My overall goal is still my swimming, but I can complement that with other fitness 🙂
