Adventures in Coffee.. Tully’s Salted Caramel Machiato

I have found I actually like salted caramels! Tis is crazy for me as I can’t stand the taste of salt at all. I don’t mind it in things as long as I can’t taste it. I have never craved salty foods.

So when I had my first salted caramel during the coffee crawl and then again not he chocolate tour I was super surprised I liked them so much.

So when I came across Tully’s in the U-District of Attlee that wasn’t full to the brim with students and had this poster I went for it.

I liked it, but it was weird.they asked if I wanted the rock salt on top, which was great because even though I went for it this time, if I had it again I might give that bit a miss.

I started drinking it as it was and it was nice. Mainly caramel flavour. I then mixed the salt in and could taste it quite a bit. Not in a bad way, but it lasted a bit longer in the mouth than I would have liked. The salt flower on the chocolate caramels disappeared quite quickly, but it lingered in the drink. Hence why I would give the extra salt a miss next time.

I liked this caffe. It felt different than the other chains.
