Right by my hostel is the Seattle Coffee Works and I love this cafe. It has a different atmosphere to the Starbucks across the street. It feels a lot less corporate and staged than Starbucks.
It also has a lot of choice when it comes to how you want your coffee brewed, with the normal espresso drinks, but also a slow bar. The bar features things like French press and pour over and vacuum pot. I plan to come in here again when I need to spend a morning doing very little as then I can get something from the slow bar and relax.
I first went with my normal latte. It was great. Smooth and milky, but not overpowering of either milk of coffee – just rightly balanced 🙂
They also do their own roasted coffees.
I loved the menu. Also this place the prices include tax which is so nice for a North American coffee place or any shop or place where you can buy stuff!
It was nice and spaced out, but with plenty of chair and tables. The music was at a nice sound level where you can hear clearly but zone it out if you need to.
I really like this place and will be using it as a base while in Seattle most likely 🙂
