My 3 rd read of my trip was Inheritance. The 4th book in the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini.
I started this series pretty soon after the first book was released, so it was nice to finish the series.
I enjoyed the story of Eragon and Saphira as ride and dragon. This book is the climax to war against the evil king. It is a series of battles and the goings on behind the scenes. I don’t want to spoil the ending so I won’t going into any more detail.
Overall I liked the book. I like having an ending to a story that started so long ago.
My one dislike was he length of the book. I felt it could have been shorter and still have gotten across the story. The ending was too long for me, it seemed to go on for a long time after the action had finished. I know it is nice to wrap up all the characters and know what they are doing after, but in some ways I like to leave that open into to let my imagination run wild and carry on the story in my head. I didn’t get that from this book.
I liked the characters, even the evil ones. They had a depth to them that sometimes you don’t get in other books. It was nice to get inside the evil king more in the book. Even I was conflicted about his motives at one point, but then you remember his actions!
Overall a good trip book 🙂
